I began my two wheel addiction on a mountain bike on the technical trails of Chico California. After a “delayed progression” to the motorized variety, my life on a motorcycle began at age 21. Following the average progression from riding and rebuilding a 1980 Honda CB650, a beautiful 2000 Suzuki SV650 followed in 2003.

After a few years on the street and calculating the various dangers of testing limits with other vehicles on the road, the SV
was sold to buy a real race machine. My first true Grand Prix machine was a 1993 Honda RS125. Albeit a bit outdated, a single track day on this beast and my passion was solidified. When the opportunity arose to purchase a “semi-current” machine, I jumped at the chance. In 2006, my current 1995 Honda RS125 was purchased. The beauty of a true GP race bike is that they actually haven’t changed much in the past 10 years.

I am formally educated in Manufacturing Technologies with a Bachelors ofScience degree from CSU Chico. Machining, fabricating, welding, composites and metrology all go hand in hand with racing motorcycles so it’s a natural fit. A love for the technical aspects, tuning and building the machine, combined with the intense mental element of racing as well as the physical demands of operating a machine at race pace and it’s easy to see how a passion for the sport was born. Racing is in my blood and I’m loving every minute of it.
